Welcome to “The Bach” – the perfect place to spend your summer holiday. Sitting on a hill above the ocean, Sandy Bay Views overlooks Sandy Bay through to Whale Bay and beyond. Choose from three levels of outdoor areas to relax – full sun on the roof top deck, cool shade on the veranda, and a grass area for the kids to play on. The track in front of the house goes down to a private beach shared with the neighbours, where you can fish, swim. explore. Just down the road to Sandy Bay, Tutukaka Coast’s most popular beach for surfing and boogie boarding.
The house has three bedrooms and a lounge area upstairs, with a veranda wrapping around three sides. French doors open onto the veranda from two of the bedrooms and the lounge, and the main bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin.
The internal stairs have wooden safety gates at both the top and bottom so you can keep the little ones safely contained either upstairs or down.
Downstairs is the hub of the house with the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. A simple and well equipped kitchen has everything you need for summer living – two element hotplate, fridge freezer and an additional bar fridge, even a Hot Air oven, bread maker and microwave. Outdoor cooking is easy with the Weber gas BBQ, with lots of sheltered spots on the ground level on offer for cooking your food.
Within a short drive is Sandy Bay (renowned surf beach), Woolleys Bay (great for boogie boarding, walking, swimming), and Whale Bay (where bush meets the sand – an idyllic picnic spot). Tutukaka is the place to launch your boat, wander the shops and cafes, or catch a dive expedition to the Poor Knights Islands. Further on from Tutukaka is Ngunguru, a seaside village on the estuary with a well-stocked superette, hairdresser, takeaways, golf course, sports complex, cafes. And that’s not mentioning the harbour beaches out towards Whangaumu Bay. There is so much on offer…
