The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen downstairs opens onto the front patio, creating easy indoor outdoor flow. Through the kitchen is the bathroom and laundry, double bedroom and out to a large deck with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs. This is the place to soak up the sun, and gather in the evenings. Part of the deck is undercover, and can easily be totally enclosed if needed.
Upstairs is the main bedroom with full ensuite, plus a second lounge with a sofa bed, giving you flexibility with sleeping options. Yet another outdoor area is off the lounge – undercover with roll-down sides that can be rolled up to catch the sea breeze, or down to keep the warm in at nights. There’s great views across to the estuary to be had from here.
Linen is included in the rental so you just need to bring your clothes and food – easy!
Boat ramp, golf course, tennis courts and children’s playground are within an easy walking distance also.
The Tutukaka coast is well known for its stunning beaches – Matapouri, Whale Bay, Sandy Bay (renown for great waves, and regular surf comps) and Whangaumu Bay are all within a 10-20 minute drive .Tutukaka Marina with its world famous fishing and diving charters, cafes, hotel and gift shops are only a short drive over the hill.
There are plenty of fishing spots both on the estuary and at surrounding beaches, and a gas BBQ at home to cook your catch!
