Situated on the beautiful Whangaumu Bay, Nautilus is suitable for several families as it consists of 3 self contained areas – the ultimate house for a large group! The main house (upstairs and downstairs) sleeps 11 people, and has the main kitchen and living areas, two full bathrooms and another small kitchen downstairs. There is a new upright fridge in the kitchen, and an upright freezer downstairs – plenty of space for all your food! Attached to the front of the house upstairs is the flat which sleeps 3 people (double bedroom and a single bedroom), has a full bathroom and kitchen, lounge, separate entry and deck adjoining the main deck. The flat can be rented in conjunction with the house for an additional $80/night.

Enjoy the comforts of this spacious beach house, with the downstairs games room (table tennis, pool and darts) and sun porch overlooking bush. Large decks surround the house, catching all day sun – the perfect spot to relax after a day on the beach and enjoy your BBQs – bliss!

The garden is fully fenced and flat, creating a safe playground for kids to run around (when they’re not at the beach!).
Nautilus is just 50 metres from gorgeous Whangaumu Bay, a safe white sand swimming beach. Boat launching for the boaties is just a 2 minute drive down the road, whilst others may enjoy fishing off the rocks at either end of the bay or just fossicking in the rock pools.

Walk to Ngunguru around the rocks for a coffee at Salt Air cafe, or a feed of fish and chips – world famous on the Coast!
Tutukaka Village is a scenic short drive from the house – you can enjoy an evening drink while the fisherman’s catch is being weighed, and dinner at one of the local cafes.

For the avid divers there is the magnificent Poor Knights Islands and the sunken wreck of the ‘Waikato’ to explore.
Surfers and walkers alike will enjoy beautiful Matapouri Bay, Whale Bay and Sandy Bay (all within a 15 minute drive).
